Audit
Existing rack inventory, switch configs, port maps, AP firmware, cable assessment. You get a written report — what carries forward, what's at end of life — before we quote.

Design
Drop count and routing, Wi-Fi heat map, switch and VLAN topology, fiber runs, rack elevations, and a written bill of materials. You see the whole system on paper first.

Install & terminate
Cable pulled in trays and J-hooks (no zip-ties to the sprinkler line). Every drop terminated, every patch dressed, every panel labeled, every link Fluke-certified.

Document & manage
Port maps, switch configs, Wi-Fi survey results, and admin credentials handed off. Optional managed plan keeps the network monitored and patched.
03 / How we build

The backbone, decided out loud.

The choices behind every Wizer network install — written down so there's no surprise when the cabling crew shows up.

Cat6A is the default.

Cat6A supports 10 Gbps to the full 100 m and handles PoE++ heat without de-rating. The per-foot cost difference vs. Cat6 is small; the future-proofing is decade-scale. Every camera, AP, reader, and display drop we install is Cat6A unless you explicitly tell us otherwise.

Wi-Fi is survey-driven, not catalog-driven.

Predictive surveys model coverage from the floor plan and the building materials in the way of the signal. On-site validation confirms the model. The number of access points, the channel plan, and the SSID strategy come out of that work — not out of the back of a spec sheet.

Managed switching with VLAN segmentation.

Users, IoT, cameras, voice, and guest traffic each get their own VLAN. Cameras can't talk to laptops. Guest Wi-Fi can't see the building automation system. If one segment is compromised, the blast radius stops at the VLAN boundary.

Fiber, picked for the run.

We install both single-mode and multi-mode extensively — the right choice depends on distance, bandwidth, and existing infrastructure. Single-mode for long-haul, building-to-building, and future-proofed backbones; multi-mode where short-haul economics or in-place fiber make it the right call. Every run is pulled, terminated, polished, and tested. OTDR certification is available when the project calls for it.

Rack hygiene is real engineering.

Cables dressed and bundled by service. Patch panels labeled to a written numbering convention. UPS sized to the load. Cooling calculated, not guessed. The closet should look like the rest of the building — finished, not just functional.

Documentation you can use.

Every install ships with a port-map spreadsheet, switch configuration files, Wi-Fi survey results, AP placement diagrams, firmware versions, and admin credentials. If you replace us, you can. Most clients don't.

Cat6 supports 1 Gbps to 100 m and 10 Gbps to 55 m. Cat6A supports 10 Gbps to the full 100 m, with thicker shielding to handle PoE++ heat and crosstalk. We default to Cat6A on every install — the per-foot cost difference is small and Cat6A future-proofs the building for the next decade of cameras, displays, and access points.
After we hand over the keys

The system is only as good as the team supporting it.

When the install is done, the system has to keep working — through firmware drift, staff changes, ISP outages and the day someone unplugs the wrong thing. Wizer Managed Site Operations keeps it that way.
